Membership Benefits

Business Referrals and Leads

The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau refers and utilizes only the services of its membership. Bureau leads to hotel and non- hotel suppliers are distributed via fax or email.

We also distribute the
Convention Update, a comprehensive and confidential list of upcoming conventions with dates, amount of participants, hotels, and contacts. With the Convention Update, our members have the opportunity to solicit their business. It is a members-only resource and published quarterly.

Publications

All members are listed in a wide-ranging guide titled the Membership and Services Directory. The directory is distributed annually among meeting and incentive planners, Ambassadors, and PRCB members.

Puerto Rico Meeting News is a quarterly newsletter, distributed within the local community, to keeps our members well-informed on the meetings and conventions market in Puerto Rico.

Every month, members receive the
Bureau News bulletin for the latest membership news and reports. This bulletin is the number one source to post member news or initiatives.

Meet Puerto Rico is a quarterly newsletter aimed at meeting and incentive planners to showcase Puerto Rico as a meeting and convention destination.

Events

The Meet & Deal is a monthly membership networking activity where members have the chance to get to know each other while also enabling additional business opportunities. This activity also provides the hosting member the opportunity to showcase their facilities, products, and services.

Every other month new members have the opportunity to get to know the Bureau Team by participating in the
Orientation Exchanges. This is a meeting to exchange information among new members and the Bureau Team on how to partner to maximize your membership investment.

Once a year all members are invited to the
Annual Membership Meeting. During this activity, member companies can vote to elect two members to our Board of Directors. As a member of the Bureau, this activity provides the medium to shape the future of the meeting and convention industry in Puerto Rico.

Bureau members are invited to participate in
Suppliers Meetings. These meetings are organized by categories of membership and the objective is to maintain a close communication with our partners. Suppliers Meetings are forums where members can participate, share new ideas, clarify concerns, and talk about their services/products one–on–one with the Bureau Team.

Educational Seminars

All members are invited to participate in educational seminars led by industry experts, organized and/or sponsored by the Bureau. The topics covered during these seminars are developed from membership suggestions.

Web Visibility and eMarketing

Technology has altered traditional business paradigms and the group industry is no different. Meeting and incentive planners are relying on the Internet for information. www.meetpuertorico.com is of the most comprehensive vertically integrated portal site showcasing Puerto Rico as a complete destination for meetings and conventions. Bureau members receive increased exposure by being listed on our web site, www.meetpuertorico.com.

Member companies have access to a password protected area with relevant membership information. This area provides statistical information about the meeting and convention market, a calendar of special events such as the Meet & Deals, Supplier Meetings, etc.

Interested Bureau members can place a discount coupon in the password protected area for members titled Market Place.

Restaurant members will double their web exposure by appearing in the Dining section of the web site, as well as appearing in Tables magazine, the official restaurant guide of the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. Tables Magazine is published by Tables Promotions twice a year and is distributed to tourists, convention delegates and the local community.

All Bureau members have the opportunity to maximize their web publicity by placing text ads or buttons in our web page. For further information please contact our Technology Marketing Coordinator at info@prcb.org.

Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities

Member companies with a limited advertising budget and interested in expanding their exposure in the meeting and convention market have the opportunity to participate in our Partnership Program. The Partnership Program is an additional marketing tool, where members can do co-op advertising with the Bureau and stretch their promotion dollars. The member can choose from a pre-assembled package or the PRCB can also offer a custom partnership to fit their budget and needs.

Twice a year the Bureau coordinates

All Bureau members have the opportunity to gain added exposure and network one-on-one with the group decision makers by sponsoring these events.
