Dance salsa and merengue untildawn, socialize in a local café or bar, see cultural and art events, go to the movies or try your luck in a casino...  When the evening arrives, in Puerto Rico, there is a lot to be done.

San Juan

Where there are San Juan townspeople, you can be sure there is a party.  From simple cafés, bistros and bars to the most entertaining clubs with music for all tastes, in San Juan you will always find something interesting to do at night.

Casinos

Puerto Rico is filled with a number of elegant casinos located in the main hotels.  Some are open 24 hours a day, while other are open from 12:00 p.m. til 4:00 a.m. In addition to the popular coin-slot machines, you can try your luck playing Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Let It Ride, Craps, Big Six Wheel y Russian Roulette.

Some hotels offer clases for amateur gamblers at the casinos or by television.  A Casino Night can also be arranged as a special event, tournament or as a fundraiser.

Nightclubs

Go out and dance the night away in one of the many nightclubs in San Juan or outside the Greater San Juan area.  Throughout the Island, there is an exciting array of places with good ambiance with every type of music. For the lovers of Latin-rhythms, you can spend your night dancing salsa or merengue in one of the many dance clubs or even in the lobbies of many hotels.

Like in every major city, there are always novelties available for nighttime enjoyment.   Contact your hotel or the local tourist center to learn of the most popular or current events happening when you come visit Puerto Rico.

Music and Theater

If you enjoy plays, ballet, clasical or popular music, the following theaters offer a variety of shows for your enjoyment:

The largest events, such as pop and rock concerts are usually celebrated at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, the Hiram Bithorn Stadium and the Roberto Clemente Stadium.

Gallery Nights

Gallery Nights are celebrated the first tuesday of every months (except during the summer) in Old San Juan.  Many art galleries open their doors from 6:00 pm until 10:30 pm, and sometimes offer live music and wine to guests.

The streets of Old San Juan are filled with people enjoying the brilliant art pieces of Puerto Rican artists and artisans, whose influence in Latin America grows every day. Enjoy them or buy one, and then stop to buy some delicious tapas in one of the local restaurants to then visit more galleries.  Enjoy a cool Island drink while you live it up during a pleasurable evening.
